Start the San Diego holiday season right by sharing in the festivities at the Annual Balboa Park December Nights. December Nights is the biggest free festival in San Diego, with more than 300,000 visitors expected over two days.
You can wander into participating Balboa Park museums during evening hours admission free, and enjoy a variety of exhibits and live entertainment, including the Christmas tree at the Timken Museum, and the Reuben H. Fleet’s interactive Kid City.

WHEN: The first Friday and Saturday nights in December. Check he schedule for updates before you head out.
- Free parking will be available at the San Diego Zoo lot (the only free parking). Get there early. Fleet Science Center lot (156 spaces) is available for persons with a valid disabled placard or license plate.
- Avoid the 163 southbound from 5-8pm if possible to avoid congestion.
- Pick up the Shuttle at PETCO Park or City College — Friday from 3pm-midnight; Saturday 11:30am until midnight.
