BayFest, at Sheepshead Bay, is Brooklyn’s largest waterfront street fair (May 19, 2013). Now in its 22nd year, this vendor-free festival features live music, giveaways and raffles, fun activities for the kids, and lots of community spirit, South Brooklyn style. Entertainment will include more than 21 bands, dance troupes, and kids’ performers on the main stage along the ten piers (eight blocks) of Sheepshead Bay’s beautiful waterfront.

WHEN: Sunday, May 19, 2013, noon – 6pm.
WHERE: Sheepshead Bay – Emmons Ave & E 27th St, Brooklyn, NY 11235.
Getting to BayFest
BUS: B44 bus south to the second to last stop. Walk south one block and make a right onto Emmons Avenue. BayFest starts at Ocean Avenue and continues to East 27th Street (main stage).
SUBWAY: Q train toward Stillwell Avenue. Exit at Sheepshead Bay station. Walk to Emmons Avenue and East 27th Street (15 min).
CAR: Belt Parkway to Exit 9A or B (Knapp Street). Turn south, toward the bay. (If you pass the Knapp Street Deli on your right, you are going the wrong way!) Drive to the end of Knapp Street. Make a right on Emmons Avenue and proceed to East 27th Street (main stage).
