California’s Great America

California Great America theme park ticket deal

Review of California’s Great America Deals (Save $26.50).

California’s Great America in Santa Clara, CA, is a 100-acre theme park that offers more rides and water rides than any other park in Northern California. Boomerang Bay Waterpark is especially popular during the summer months, and the littlest visitors especially enjoy Planet Snoopy. “Most thrilling” points go to the wooden roller coaster GoldStriker, said to be the fastest and tallest in Northern California. What’s more thrilling than that? A great deal on tickets could produce a nice adrenaline rush.

Goldstriker CoasterHere are the best CA Great America deals just updated and available for 2015. Check these deals out from various trusted ticket sources who work with Great America to make these offers possible. Each is for daily admission with all rides and attractions, live shows, and the waterpark.

Other ways to save include AAA and military discounts, and season passes are an option if you live nearby and plan to go often.

DEAL 1: {Easy/Best Price} California’s Great America Discount Tickets — $43 (reg. $64). Fees are $2. Ticket are Print & Go. (You don’t need to pick your day when you order.) Theses are “Any Day” tickets recently updated and valid through the 2015 season.

Go SelectDEAL 3: The Go Select San Francisco Card (better than it used to be) gets you a decent discount for Great America (20% to 55% off) and one or more other Bay Area activities or attractions. I love the new option to “build-your-own” pass. You have 30 days from first use to do both/all. Print and go, or show on your smart phone. Play with the choices on their site to see your savings.

COUPON: Not updated for this summer. If I find another one, I’ll post it here.

  • Military Discount: Members of the military can usually get a discount on tickets at the Front Gate. The price varies throughout the season, but it won’t be as good as the special offers available like the one above. A valid military ID must be presented.
  • AAA Discount: You can check with your local AAA office to see if they still offer a discount (which may be as much as the deal above, depending on your location).
  • Group Discount: California’s Great America offers group discounts for groups of 15 or more. Contact the park directly.
  • Season Pass: If you’re planning to go often during the year, this could be a good choice, available directly from the park.
  • Special Days: The park offers special days with discounts and extras throughout the year, such as Homeschool Days and Physics, Science & Math Days. These usually take place early in the season. Halloween Haunt is a special event every year before the holiday (upcoming date is September 25, 2015). More info on these on the official Great America website.

SAVVY TIPS: To help you enjoy the experience …
