Here’s a heads up on a fun community event to help you stay cool in the east valley: The fifth annual Chandler Summer Splash & Dash in Downtown Chandler (June 23). The free festival features music from Radio Disney and local bands, water slides, swim lessons, kiddie pools, games, rides, and other family activities. According to the event sponsors, the event also offers a way to teach kids about water safety.
“This free event encourages families to learn about water safety while staying cool in the summer weather. The Chandler Fire Dept. and Police Dept. are involved in teaching water safety to both kids and parents. This year, the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership and HDE Agency are partnering with the Phoenix Sports Commission to welcome the Arizona Sprints Showcase and its participants during the event.”
