I am from out of state and was visiting the bay area for the first time in 37 years. Our first SF stop was to go to Steiner St to see my childhood home. We parked, walked to my former home while quickly deciding to go to the Jazz Festival and ending up spending our day walking all over my old neighborhood rather than hitting the usual tourist spots. We ate lunch at the top of Alta Plaza Park and the grand-kids played forever at the playground. What a great day with astounding music and new treasures from a few vendors. Will always keep the festival dates in mind when planning future travels to San Francisco that won’t take another 37 years!
