The Seattle Fishermen’s Fall Festival, every year in October, is free to attend and features tons of fun for the entire family. The annual event features a Lutefisk Eating Contest, Salmon Fillet Contest, and the ever popular Salmon BBQ.
The United States Coast Guard At-Sea Rescue entertains crowds with their demonstration of an at-sea rescue. Activities for children include: Miniature Wooden Boat Building, Fish Prints, Oyster Art, make your own mermaid on a scallop shell, spin art on frisbees, balloon sculptors, and lots more fun things to do.
Hands-on art projects with fishing themes, including the popular wooden boat building and trout pond, are complementary for all children and admission to the Festival is free.
