Golden Dragon Parade and Chinese New Year Festival

The Golden Dragon Parade and Chinese New Year Festival celebrate the Year of the Horse, and is free to attend, although the festival food may entice you to open your wallet.  With the largest Chinese New Year celebrations in Los Angeles County  you’ll also get your fill of floats, dancers, bands, firecrackers, and the famous Giant Dragons.

WHAT: The Golden Dragon Parade and Chinese New Year Festival are both free

WHEN: Golden Dragon Parade – February 1, 2014, 1-3pm. Chinese New Years Festival – February 1 – 2, 2014. Saturday 12noon – 8pm, Sunday 12noon – 5pm.

WHERE: Parade route along Hill and Broadway Streets through Los Angeles’ Chinatown. Festival – along Broadway Street in Chinatown.

FYI: Year of the Horse is Lunar Year 4712.
