The Independent Shakespeare Co. 2013 free performances at Griffith Park in Los Angeles are scheduled to begin June 27, 2013. This year’s plays: Macbeth, She Stoops to Conquer, and As You Like It, along with special pre-show events throughout the summer. Show up early and bring a blanket or lowbacked lawn chair.

WHERE: Griffith Park, 4730 Crystal Springs Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90027. The stage is at the Old Zoo near the Merry-Go-Round in the east end of the park.
PARKING: The only entrances into the park are through Crystal Springs Drive or via the Northbound 5 exit off Griffith Park. Parking is free and plentiful, but the parking lots have no official address. For GPS, plug in the nearby Ranger Station: 34.134204,-118.284962.
SAVVY TIP: Go early and have fun exploring the old bear caves.
