This year’s Houston Pride Festival and Parade promises plenty of entertainment and activities for all 300,000 people expected to attend. As the second largest parade in Houston and the largest Pride Parade/LGBT event in the Southwest, the event will not go unnoticed even if you’re not taking part. Plan ahead for the traffic, crowds, and excitement either way. But staying home all day would be such a drag, don’t you think?
The festival and parade are part of Pride Week (June 17-23, 2012) with a goal of strengthening equality and increasing awareness of core LGBT issues and concerns.
