Japan Day Festival at Central Park: Free

The 7th annual Japan Day Festival in New York’s Central Park (May 12, 2013) commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the cherry trees given by Japan to the United States as a symbol of enduring cross-cultural friendship. This year’s festival starts off with a 4 mile run, followed by a kids run, stage performances, food booths, and activity tents. Last year over 30,000 people enjoyed participating in the run and festival.

WHERE: Naumburg Bandshell, Central Park, New York, NY (main entrance for the Festival will be at 69th Street and 5th Avenue.)
