Minneapolis / Saint Paul 4th of July
Minneapolis Red, White and BOOM!: July 3 – 4. July 3 – Hot Dam 5K & Half Marathon 6:30am, Music and a Movie July 3. Music by Romantica from 7-9pm, movie (Captain America) starts at 9pm. Bring a blanket to enjoy an evening watching a movie in Nicollet Island Pavilion 7-11pm. July 4 – Free family activities and entertainment on four stages at Father Hennepin Bluffs Park 6-9pm, Fourth of July Fireworks at 10pm. Takes place along the Mississippi riverfront, historic Main Street and West River Parkway in downtown Minneapolis. Parking available in the St. Anthony Falls Ramp.
White Bear Lake Manitou Days: June 14-July 4, 2012 in White Bear Lake, MN. Festival includes over 50 events. July 4 – Live music with Joe Cruz & Scenic Roots at Tally’s Dockside and CG Hooks Eatery 6-9pm. 8-11pm, Live music at Memorial Beach, featuring Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band. Fireworks start at 10pm.
Richfield 4th of July 2012: June 30-July 5, 2012. Veteran’s Memorial Park in Richfield, MN. Carnival until 11pm every day except July 5.

– Family night 5:30-11pm, Kiddie Parade 5:30pm, Move in the park (The Smurfs) 9pm. - July 3 – Car show 1-5pm, Street Dance 6-11pm

Chanhassen’s 4th of July Celebration: July 2-4, 2012 at City Center Park and Lake Ann Park in Chanhassen, MN. Events include a kiddie parade, street dance, taste of Chanhassen, The SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce Business Fair, carnival rides and games, adult and children fishing festivals, beach games, and a community parade. Fireworks display over Lake Ann on July 4.
Bloomington Summer Fete: July 3, 2012. Normandale Lake Bandshell, Bloomington, MN. Kids carnival 5pm, music on the 84th St Kids Stage 5-8pm, music on the Summer Fete Main Stage 5-10pm, fireworks at dusk.
Eagan 4th of July Funfest: July 3-4,2012, at Eagan Festival Grounds, Eagan, MN. July 3 4pm-midnight features carnival, vendors, healthy hour, children’s games, bike parade, Texas Hold’em, and The Dweebs. July 4 parade at 10am, followed by event featuring carnival, vendors, car show, ice cream contest, Texas Hold’em, Under Achievers, and fireworks at dark.
Excelsior July Fourth Celebration: July 4, 2012. 8am-10:30pm at Excelsior Commons. Kids’ Patriotic Parade 11-11:30pm, begins at 540 Lake Street, ends in the Commons. Celebration includes Firecracker Races, Sand Sculpture Contest, Fishing Contest, and live entertainment, including Matt Dunn Magic Show. The Minnesota Ochestra performs from 8:30-9:30pm. Fireworks start at 10pm.
Powderhorn Park 4th of July Celebration: July 4, 2012. Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis, MN. Live music and entertainment at 2pm. Fireworks at 10pm.
Woodbury 4th of July Celebration: July 4, 2012. 6-10pm at Ojibway Park in Woodbury, MN. Live music and free activities. Fireworks start at 10pm.
Lakeville Pan-O-Prog: July 4-7, 2012. Week-long festival in Lakeville, MN featuring Beer, Brats & Bingo, a pageant, Cruise Night Parade, Grand Parade, and more. Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration at Lakeville North High School, 6:30-11pm, temporary tattoos and concessions and live entertainment, fireworks start after dark.
Eden Prairie 4th of July Hometown Celebration: July 4, 2012. 5-10pm at Round Lake Park in Eden Prarie. Live entertainment, featuring Jazz on the Prairie Big Band, Eden Prairie Community Band, and Synergy, activities, and food. Fireworks start at 10pm.
Edina Independence Day Parade: July 4, 2012 at 10am. The 45-minute parade features clowns, veterans, marching bands, floats, and costumed characters. Parade begins behind Edina City Hall, 4801 W 50th St, Edina, CA, and ends at the US Bank parking lot at 50th St and Halifax Ave.
St Louis Park July 4th Fireworks Celebration: July 4, 2012. Aquila Park, 3110 Xylon Ave S, St Louis Park, MN. Performance by Stevie and the Rockers, 7-9:30pm, fireworks begin at 10pm.
Prior Lake Boat Parade and Fireworks: July 4, 2012, 1pm, Prior Lake, MN. Parade, featuring decorated boats, begins on Upper Prior Lake near Captain Jack’s. Fireworks at 10pm launching from Watzel’s Beach.
