PORTLAND JULY 4TH CELEBRATIONS

East Portland Community Center’s 14th Annual Independence Day Parade: July 1, at the East Portland Community Center 740 SE 106 Ave, Portland, OR. Pre-parade activities, including hot dogs, face painting, rock climbing wall, and crafts, start at 10am. Parade starts at 11:30am and winds through the community to end back at the community center.

Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival: July 4-8, 2012. Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Portland, OR. Features live performances by artists like James Cotton, Galactic, Cedric Burnside Project, and James Hunter. Fireworks are on July 4 at 10pm over the Willamette River. Daily tickets at the gates for a minimum donation of $10 and 2 cans of nonperishable food per person. 5-day Festival passes $50 and up, $40 Early Bird rate.

Oaks Park Pepsi Fireworks Spectacular: July 4, 2012. Oaks Park Amusement Park, 7805 SE Oaks Park Way, Portland, OR. Admission is $5 for 16 and over, $2 for under 16, $3 for seniors 62 and up. Park is open 10am – 12 midnight. Rides start at 12pm, live entertainment all day on Comcast Stage, fireworks at dusk.

Independence Day at Fort Vancouver 2012: July 4, 2012. Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, 612 E Reserve St, Vancouver, WA. Gates open at 8am. Entertainment starts at noon and features live music, hands-on activities, traditional kids’ games: three-legged races, egg tosses, water balloon fights and more. Kids’ Patriotic Parade at 4pm along the Park Access Rd. Fireworks 10:05pm.

 Corbett Oregon Fun Fest: July 4, 2012. 7am-10pm in Corbett, OR. Pancake breakfast at 7am, parade at 11am from Springdale to Corbett. Inflatables, music, vendors, and fun at the Corbett Grade School 11am-10pm ($5 entry). Fireworks at dusk.

4th Of July in Mingus Park Family Fun Day: July 4, 2012. Mingus Park and the Coos Bay Waterfront in Coos Bay, OR. Features fishing ponds, face painting, free swimming, family competitions, clowns, kids entertainment, Boy Scouts, Monkey Bridge, photos from the Heart, Furry Friends Therapy Dogs, crafter’s and goodie bags, food, and much more. Fireworks at dusk by the waterfront.

Winchester Bay Fireworks: July 4, 2012. Reedsport/Gardiner, OR. TBA.

 Port Orford 4th of July Jubilee: July 1-4, 2012. 555 w 20th St, Port Ordford, OR. TBA
