San Diego St. Patrick’s Day Parade + Irish Festival

San Diego St Patricks DayThe annual St. Patricks Day Parade in Balboa Park (March 15, 2014) features floats, bands, drill teams, roller skaters, antique cars, equestrian and law enforcement units, bagpipes, and more. The 2014 Parade Theme is Celebrating People in Public Service.

The Irish-themed festival will feature food and craft booths, two beer gardens, a Celtic Village and Kids Zone with Rides. The Festival and all the entertainment are free to attend.

WHAT: San Diego’s 2014 St. Patricks Day Parade and Festival are free family events.

WHEN: Saturday, March 15, 2014, starting at 10:30am. Flag Raising ceremony in Balboa park at 9:45am. Festival 9:30am – 5pm.

WHERE: Balboa Park, 1549 El Prado, San Diego CA 92101. The St. Patricks Day Parade starts from Sixth Ave and Juniper St, travels north on Fifth Ave to Upas, then over to Sixth Ave and south on Sixth to conclude at Juniper Street.

FYI: Saint Patrick’s Day is March 17, 2014.
