Grab your Easter Bonnet or bunny ears, it’s almost time for San Francisco’s annual Spring Celebration and Easter Parade in April. The events features an Easter Bonnet Contest (“creativity encouraged”), and some of Union Street’s best restaurants serving seasonal fare in an outdoor bistro setting. Billed as the “Biggest Little Parade in San Francisco,” the Easter parade has grown to include an array of funny floats, garden areas, and creative displays of fashion and artsy cars.
The Easter Bonnet Contest takes place at the judging booth on Union Street at Buchanan. Categories include Best in Show, Best Couple, Best Family, Best Pet, Best Children, Best Merchant, Most Elegant, Largest Hat, Most Comical, and Most Creative. See who wins at the awards ceremony: 3:15pm on the Main Stage at Buchanan.
Plan to bring the kids for a day of fun activities, costumed characters, a petting zoo, a pony ride and entertainment from Bay Area musicians, rain or shine.
