Review of Ride The Ducks Tour of San Francisco — 5 Ways To Save.
Ever wondered what San Francisco is like from a duck’s eye view? Ok, no. But we love that this city has five quacky ways to save on the San Francisco Amphibious Duck Sightseeing Tour – all special offers take you from land to sea. You don’t have to be a tourist to take your date or favorite kid on an amphibious vehicle crafted from the WWII DUKW. Pick a warm day and have a blast.
See the options below so you can pick the one that’s right for you. Children 3 and under are admitted free but they’ll need a ticket. Follow the links for price details (in most cased seniors and children pay less than the adult prices listed below).
Ride The Ducks offers a 90-minute minute duck ride through San Francisco’s historic streets and neighborhoods, including Chinatown, Ghirardelli Square, and Union Square. Splash down into the bay and cruise McCovey Cove. You can even drive the duck if you want.
DEAL 1: Ride The Ducks Tour in San Francisco discount tickets 43% Off – $40 for 2 (reg. $70 for 2) for admission for two to a 90-minute Ride the Ducks land-and-water tour. Voucher expires Dec 31, 2013.
Review: This source offers the best price with no fees added at checkout, but you need to buy two tickets at a time (Limit three 2-packs per person, may buy three additional as gifts). Because it’s from a daily deal source, the discounted value expires (but not the price you pay which you can redeem anytime). Also, because it’s a daily deal, you may find fewer dates available when you call for reservations. You’ll need to make a reservation with Ride The Ducks after your purchase (no walk-ups).
DEAL 2: Ride The Ducks Tour of San Francisco discount tickets 22% Off – $27 (reg. $35). You save $8, with no added fees and no expiration date from this ticket source.
Review: This is the simplest choice and still a good deal. The special price will expire soon, but not the voucher you buy now (they’ll send it by email) You can reschedule your tour later if you need to, which is a plus. After you get your voucher from this source, you can call or email the Duck Tour people directly with any last-minute questions or date-change requests. There’s a promo code box on all checkout pages, but no code is available. The box is there because sometimes hotels have a code for guests only, and people who receive gift certificates use a unique code.
DEAL 3: Ride The Ducks Tour of San Francisco discount tickets $3 Off – $31 (reg. $34) $2 off listed, plus get an extra $1 off with Coupon Code SFRI1 at checkout. Seniors and child prices are also cheaper. No fees added.
Review: This source is showing the old regular price of $34 instead of $35, but the price has gone up a buck. So instead of a $3 discount, you’re actually saving $4 with this deal. Until they update it, it still works.
DEAL 4: Ride The Ducks Tour of San Francisco Discount Tickets $2 Off – $31 adult, $29 senior, $23 child, + $2 fees. Saves you $2.
Review: This source is a Savvy Cities travel partner (so it looks like our pages). Not the best deal currently, but they always have e-tickets available and ready for download, even after other deals expire. And we can help troubleshoot if you have any problems ordering. There’s no need to choose a date when you order. Tickets are valid until January 31, 2014. You’ll see a promo code box on the checkout page (all their checkout pages have this), but there’s no code available for Ducks.
FOR COMPARISON: The current regular rates posted on the Ducks website: Adult (18 – 61) $35 ; Senior (62+) $32; Child (4-17) $25; Infant (0-3) Free, but must be ticketed.
WHERE: The Ducks-Fisherman’s Wharf, 2766 Taylor Street San Francisco, CA 94133. (Board at Fisherman’s Wharf at the corner of Jefferson and Taylor.)
