The 2012 Central Park Music Series offers free live music on Thursday nights in the summer (June 21 – August 9). The City of San Mateo calls this their signature summer event. The events are a great opportunity to socialize with friends, kick up your heals on the dance floor, or just get the family out for good time without blowing the budget.
Bring a low-backed chair or blanket to sit on. Food will be available at the food booths, or you could bring a snack from home or get take-out from your favorite local restaurant.

SAVVY TIP: All parking in downtown San Mateo is free after 6 pm. Options include a small underground parking garage in Central Park, on 5th Ave., off of El Camino; one of the downtown parking garages; or street parking.
