Here’s our list of free Seattle, Washington area 4th of July fireworks, parades, and celebrations, from Aberdeen to Westport. Popular picks include the Wallingford Family Parade & Festival in Seattle, Coulee Dam Festival of America, Grand Old Fourth of July in Bainbridge, and the annual Frontier Days July 4th Celebration in Arlington WA, just for starters. Seattle Fourth of July Events
Seattle: Seafair Summer Fourth – July 4, 2015, from noon-11pm, at Gas Works Park & South Lake Union Park. Various events at the parks, including games, music, kids zone, contests, beverage gardens, Air National Guard display, and more. Fireworks at 10:10pm over Lake Washington. NOTE: This July 4th you can watch the Seattle fireworks show live on KIRO 7, with Eyewitness News anchors Steve Raible beginning at 9pm.
West Seattle: 4th of July Admiral Kiddie Parade — July 4, 2015, from 10am to 1pm. Admiral/West Seattle, Admiral District (1137 Sunset Ave. S.W., Seattle, WA). This free annual children’s parade on the West side of Seattle, draws hundreds of families for the opportunity to participate by walking in the parade, or ride bicycles or scooters, or be pushed or pulled by stroller or wagon. The parade route travels through North Admiral neighborhoods for about a half-mile, ending at Hamilton Viewpoint Park for games, food and fun activities. No preregistration is needed. Free.
Seattle: Cal Anderson Park Alliance Fourth of July Community Picnic — July 4 from 11am-4pm. Features live music, a root beer tasting garden, hot dog feast, face painting, a pie eating contest, balloon artistry, patriotic portraits, contests, hula hoop lessons, marching band. Activities wrap up at 4 p.m. giving you plenty of time to get to a fireworks viewing location. Free.

Auburn: 4th of July Festival – July 4, 2015, 11am-4pm at Les Gove Park in Auburn, WA. Free activities include the kids’ bike parade at noon, bocce, basketball, on-site gaming truck, museum entry and activities, face painting, spray park, the Discovery Playground and a 5 & Under Indoor Playground.
Bainbridge: Grand Old Fourth of July – July 4, 2015, 7am-11pm, in Bainbridge, WA. Pancake breakfast at 7am, classic car show and all-day street fair, family fun run, children’s games and more. The “Best Small Town Parade in America” begins at 1pm. Fireworks at approximately dusk over Eagle Harbor. Free.
Bellevue: Family Fourth – July 4, 2015 at Downtown Park in Bellevue, WA, 2pm. Features festival food, games, live music, and a spectacular fireworks show. Fireworks at dusk.
Bothell: Freedom Festival and Parade — July 4, 2015, 8:30am-2pm. Free pancake breakfast at Downtown Firehouse #42; Children’s Parade and Grand Parade along Main Street at 11:15am, followed by the Grand Parade at noon. Free.
Burien: Independence Day Parade — July 4, 2015 at 3pm at Downtown Burien, WA. Parade route runs through the streets of downtown Burien and will last around two hours. Expect the usual floats, marching bands, drill teams, clowns, antique cars, novelty and equestrian antics. Free.
Des Moines: Fireworks Over Des Moines “Fire in the Sky” – July 3-4, 2015. Kids Carnival will run July 3rd 4pm-9:30pm and July 4th 10am-9:30pm at the Des Moines Marina with rides and games for younger children.

Issaquah: Down Home 4th of July & Heritage Day — July 4, 2015, 11am-2 pm (parade at 11am). Event begins with the The Swedish Hospital Kids ‘n Pets Parade. Features children on decorated floats, bikes, scooters and wagons, pets, and more. Runs down Front St. to Veterans’ Memorial Field. Then enjoy live music, old-fashioned games, races, family activities and the Annual Slug Beauty Pageant. Free admission (various costs for games & activities). All ages.
Everett: July 4th Colors of Freedom Parade & Festival – July 4, 2015, 11am-11pm in Everett, WA. Parade in Downtown Everett (Colby and Wetmore Avenues, between Wall St. & 26th St.) at 11am. . After the parade, around 1pm, go to Legion Memorial Park and enjoy a picnic with a family, over Port Gardner Bay. The festival will include free kids’ activities, food fair, live music and a fireworks display. No parking – Free Everett Transit shuttles from Everett Station and Everett Community College.
Kirkland: 4th of July Parade, Picnic & Fireworks – July 4, 2015, 10am-10:30pm, at Marina Park in Kirkland, WA. Children’s Parade at 11:30am begins at Market & Central. Child’s decorating event begins at 10am at the Marina Park Pavilion. Old Fashioned Downtown Parade at noon at Market & Central, 1pm-10:30pm festivities in Marina Park. Music in the Park from 5-10pm. Fireworks start at 10:15pm. Free.
Renton: Fabulous Fourth of July – July 4, 2015, 12-11pm at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park (1201 Lake Washington Blvd) in Renton, WA. Enjoy free children’s activities and face-painting from 12pm-8pm, stage entertainment from 1:30pm-9:30pm, and a professional fireworks display launched from the northwest corner of the Ivar’s Water Walk at 10pm. Free.
Tacoma: Freedom Fair on the Ruston Way Waterfront — July 4, 2015, all day, along the Ruston Way waterfront. Features the usual 4th of July activities, air shows, food, vendors, exhibits, rides. Called the South Sound’s biggest annual event. Free parking at Tacoma Dome Station or Tacoma Community College (you can take the Freedom Fair Express Bus to the event). Fireworks at 10:10pm over Puget Sound.
Tukwila: Family Fourth at Fort Dent Park – July 4, 2015, from 4pm-10pm at Fort Dent Park in Tukwila, WA. Event includes inflatable bouncers and slides, an entertainment stage, and vendors. Fireworks start at 10pm. Free.
