Tempe Town Lake July 4th Festival: Discounts

The 61st annual Tempe Town Lake Festival on Independence Day (July 4, 2012) features live music, a syncronized fireworks show, and tons of fun. What many Phoenicians may not know is you can get a few bucks off the ticket price. Here’s what you need to know.

WHAT: Tempe Town Lake July 4th Festival – At the gate $8, kids 12 and under and current military with ID are Free.

DEALS: Get $2 off discount tickets at all Fry’s stores. OR, get $3 off discount tickets at the following locations until July 3:

  • Parks & Recreation Administration Office – 3500 S. Rural Rd. 2nd Floor Tempe Public Library, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.
  • Kiwanis Recreation Center – 6111 S. All America Way, Monday – Thursday 7am-10pm, Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 8am-6pm, Sunday 9am-4pm.
  • Escalante Community Center – 2150 E. Orange St, Monday-Thursday 8am-9pm, Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 1pm-6pm.
  • Tempe Transit Store – 200 E. Fifth St, Monday-Saturday 8am-5:30 pm.

WHEN: Festival is Wednesday July 4, 2012. 5pm – 11pm. Fireworks scheduled to begin at 9:25pm. Gates open at 4pm.

WHERE: Tempe Beach Park – 80 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ.

Savvy Tips: First come, first served on lawn seating. Blankets, portable chairs, personal cameras and personal umbrellas – up to 48” are permitted. Only manufacturer’s sealed containers of water (1 gallon per person) allowed inside the venue. No food or coolers allowed.

Avoid parking on the north bank. The Mill Avenue bridges will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Patrons who park on the north bank of the lake will NOT be able to walk across the Mill Avenue bridges to attend the event.
