The 8th Annual Thai New Year Festival in Thai Town, Hollywood (April 1, 2012) celebrate Songran — The Thai New Year. The event features traditional Thai food and cultural activities, colorful parades, music and dance performances, a fashion show, Muay Thai boxing, a food and beer garden, and the Miss Thai New Year USA contest.

WHERE: Thai Town, Hollywood, CA. Four blocks of Hollywood Blvd blocked off from Western Ave to Winona Blvd.
SAVVY TIP: In 2011, there was special event parking lot with shuttle service all day – $7, located at 5955 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028. Or take the Metro. The Hollywood and Western red line stop is near the beginning of the parade route (only $1.25 each way).
