More than 100 U.S parks that normally charge fees will offer free admission on certain weekends in 2012, according to The National Park Service. Next up: June 9, 2012 Get Outdoors Day. Several of these parks are near our Savvy Cities, so you might want to check them out before limited admission kicks in due to the current economy.
Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
